The Thunderbird Park in Tamborine Mountain, near the Gold Coast in Queensland is a one-of-a-kind mountain resort with unrivalled views and attractions. This Park is over 112 hectares of pure adventure.

Thunderbird Park has a wide range of accommodation options and activities to suit all types of getaways. From day trips, groups or conferences, a weekend away or for the duration of the school holidays there is something for everyone at Thunderbird Park.

In addition to powered and unpowered sites for campers, there are also bush lodges which have 2 bedrooms, bathroom, TV and DVD player and fully self-contained kitchen. The glamping set ups available have a king bed, TV and DVD player with a private bathroom, plus cooking amenities. Also available are standard rooms or lodges in a range of configurations and some are even pet friendly.

The powered and unpowered thunderbird camping sites have a range of amenities nearby, which include – men and women’s shower and toilet blocks, a camp kitchen, with a range of cooking options and a token operated camp laundry.

There is Thunderegg Crystal Mine, which is a fossicking adventure for the whole family – which includes a souvenir miners permit! FunFair at Thunderbird has paddleboats, water bikes, pedal go-karts, jumping castles and 4WD buggy rides. Adventure Mini Golf, has beginner, intermediate and professional hole options. Fairytale Farmers, lets you meet some of the parks furry friends – including ponies and alpacas. Laser Skirmish, set in an authentic tropical jungle type scene – the battlefield is set. There is also daily Bird Feeding, sessions at 2pm where you are likely to be visited by the Albert’s Lyrebird, Bowerbirds, Butcher Birds and Wedge Tailed Eagles. Rock Pools to wade in, which are part of the Cedar Creek flow. Pickleball, which is a fun combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis played on a tennis half court. The TreeTop challenge is Australia’s largest Zipline and High Ropes course, which includes Canyon Flyer Zipline, Adventure Park High Ropes and TreeTop Challenge Juniors – made just for the kids.
