Wilpena Pound Resort is located in the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park – which is 430kms from Adelaide. This resort is situated in South Australia’s outback and in what has been described as one of earth’s oldest landscapes.

The Wilpena Pound Resort has endless accommodation options, which include hotel rooms, glamping safari tents and powered and unpowered camp sites. The area also features a visitor information centre, restaurant, bar/bistro, general store, and swimming pool. Although this spot may be isolated, you are guaranteed to have everything you could possibly need.

There are resort rooms for couples or families available with all the modern comforts. There is also outback glamping sites available at the Ikara Safari Camp with fully equipped Safari Tents and then there is the main camp ground within the area.

There are 400 unpowered sites, 44 powered sites and 4 powered bus bays. There are shade options and fire pits for the sites. The campground also has three amenities blocks, two laundromat facilities, a pay phone and is close to the IGA – where you can get all your supplies – including fire wood. As collecting firewood from the area is prohibited. The campground guests are also able to use the resort pool and access the restaurant, bar, and bistro. Dogs and other domestic animals are also prohibited.
